DHAKA, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested 12 members of a honey-trap gang, including two women, from the city’s various places. As soon as the man entered the house, a gang numbering seven people beat him demanding Tk 8 lakh. Based on the complaint, investigation of two separate incidents revealed that the arrested persons are members of the same gang. With the help of intelligence information and technology, separate teams from Jatrabari and Demra police stations jointly conducted raids at different places on February 15 and 16 and arrested 12 members. The arrest of other members of this gang and legal action against the arrestees are underway.
