A number of students of Jahangirnagar University’s Microbiology department have been accused of sharing objectionable pictures of 16 female students and a teacher in a closed Facebook messenger group. The students, belonging to the university’s 45th batch, allegedly shared the pictures to a secret group on Facebook messenger. Fifteen microbiology students of same batch and another from 43rd batch filed a written complaint with the university authorities on Sunday against 12 students. Teachers and students said a secret messenger group was opened about six months ago. In the last two months, 12 students had reportedly taken pictures of female classmates, teacher, and students from different batches secretly and shared them in the messenger group with lewd comments.
