Share TweetBy Hanah TabiosThe provincial government of Cavite is monitoring a 1-year-old child from Tanza, Cavite who had a recent travel history to Italy, one of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epicenters in the world. After the contact tracing, 11 close contacts of the first COVID-19 victim sought consultation in private hospitals in Cavite. One close contact, on the other hand, was already admitted as a PUI in a private hospital in Imus City after showing symptoms of COVID-19 infection. On Wednesday afternoon, the health department reported 16 new confirmed COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of cases in the country to 49.
