MANILA, Philippines — A man was killed and four other persons were injured when a jeepney crashed into a van, a bus, and two motorcycles on Monday in Sampaloc, Manila. According to the Manila Police District (MPD), the accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Pureza Street and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Sampaloc, Manila. The injured were identified as John Ly Espiritu, 26; Romeo Tolentino, 42; Nathaniel De Mesa, 44; and Fernando Florida, 39. Meanwhile, the driver of the jeepney, 49-year-old Dennis Falcotila, was brought to the MPD for investigation. He is facing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide with physical injuries and damage to property.
