Rapid Action Battalion presents the drug trader before media arrested from Link Road Station in Cox's Bazar city on Saturday; February 17, 2019 Dhaka TribuneThe yaba pills were hidden in a gas cylinderRapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained a drug trader with 40,000 yaba pills from a Hanif Paribahan bus in Cox's Bazar, which was on its way to the Bishwa Ijtema. The drug trader was arrested from Link Road Station in Cox's Bazar city around 8pm on Saturday. RAB 15 Cox's Bazar Camp Company Commander Major Mehedi Hasan told the Dhaka Tribune: "Based on a tip-off, we conducted a drive and detained Sarwar, who was trying to smuggle yaba pills by stowing them in a gas cylinder and putting it on a bus on its way towards the Ijtema grounds." He has confessed that he was smuggling all those yaba pills to a drug ring in Dhaka. Sarwar will be handed over to police after further interrogation, the company commander added.
