With the installation of the seventh span, around 12:45pm on Wednesday, 1,050 metres of the under-construction bridge are now visible on the river. Responding to a query, the engineer said: “The span, 150 metres in length and weighing 3,140 tons, was scheduled to the installed on Wednesday morning. Including a temporary span previously installed on the 4th and 5th pillars, a total of eight spans have been installed in the Padma Bridge project so far.
