The initiative, which was the brainchild of Vice Chancellor for Academics (VCA) Geronio Ulayao, presented the reality of online sessions through a set of “Zoomandments” or Zoom dos and don’ts, written by Mito Tubilleja, a faculty of the Multimedia Arts Program. It reminded the community to always stage their area for on-cam sessions and to be mindful of the background noise. Members of the Mark of Designers Alliance (MoDA), the student organization of the Fashion Design and Merchandising Program, likewise participated in the videos to represent the student body. “We were initially testing the water on the reception and thankfully, it became a positive breather for everyone. Under the tag #BeTHinOurHearts, the avatar continues to provide tips and insights that guide the students with the transition.
