Anti-Muslim vandalism on a local school outraged Glenn De Baeremaeker when he discovered it while out for a walk in Scarborough Monday evening. He says he called Scarborough-Agincourt councillor Jim Karygiannis immediately, and the two arranged for staff to clean off the vandalism. The vandalism, which read “F--- u muslims,” was removed by city staff before students returned to school Tuesday morning. Councillor De Baeremaeker said the actions and sentiments do not represent Toronto as a whole. I really wanted to make sure that the Muslim community, and the parents and the teachers that are at that school know that, no, this is not what Scarborough or Toronto is about.
