He noted that the deployment request originally initiated by the United Nations Security Council is now set for parliamentary deliberation. "The Government will not use any shortcuts to deploy Kenya Police Service Officers to Haiti as requested by the United Nations Security Council. "Deployment of Kenya Police Service Officers to Haiti will not in any way compromise or undermine the capacity of our officers to safeguard the country's safety and security," Kindiki affirmed. The Government will defend security officers who lawfully use weapons assigned to them to protect the lives and property of our citizens," Kindiki asserted. "Kenya intends to accede to the United Nations Resolution 2699 (2023) on the deployment of Police officers to Haiti," Kindiki affirmed.
