PHOTO /Christine MusaMachakos leaders have condemned the ongoing Athi-river demolitions saying it is a skim by the government to grab the land and impoverish natives who have been residing at the land as squatters. Demolitions at the land began on Friday evening with tens of families forced to spend the night in the cold. Ukambani leaders led by governor Wavinya Ndeti stranded at a petrol station along Mombasa road after being forcefully evicted from the Athi-river demolitions by GSU officers. "This demolition is beyond that, how come the GSU officers are denying us as leaders to supply humanitarian aid to those who have been forcefully evicted?
