The documentary series “Surviving R. Kelly” has become a ratings hit for Lifetime and reignited scrutiny and debate over the sexual-abuse allegations that have long swirled around the R&B singer. The cable network says the six-episode series, which aired last week and has re-aired since then, has reached 18.8 million total viewers, with an average nightly audience of 2.1 million. On social media, it became the most-discussed television series in the channel’s history.
