Arturo, known as the “world’s saddest polar bear” and forced to spend much of his life in sweltering heat in an Argentine zoo, has died at the age of 31. The zoo refused to move Arturo, maintaining that he was too old to be sedated and shipped for two days, and that he was too close to his Argentine keepers.
