KUALA LUMPUR: A night of festivity suddenly turned into carnage and mayhem, said two Malaysians who were at the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France, during the tragic Bastille Day attack. “I was walking home after midnight and suddenly people behind me started running. Then I checked Twitter and found out that a truck had hit many people,” said the 25-year-old, who has been in Nice since 2011. As she walked to her apartment, it never crossed her mind that the waves of people running were trying to escape danger.
