They said that the offence occurred nearly three months ago and the girl needed to undergo the operation immediately. Okkoota member Rajeshwari Joshi complained that doctors had advised the victim to undergo termination of pregnancy. The Supreme Court has ruled that a woman has all the rights to abort foetus less than 20 weeks old. The victim has no close relatives to take care of her and activists are getting her treated in a hospital.
