Whenever Prime Minister Imran Khan takes notice of the price hike for a particular good, it becomes even more expensive the following day, said Sindh Agriculture Minister Ismail Rahoo on Sunday. In a statement to an English daily newspaper, the provincial minister censured the PTI government for inflation skyrocketing in the country. Responding to the premier's recent announcement that from today (Monday) onwards, the Centre would "use all resources at the disposal of the state to bring down food prices" and figure out the cause behind price hikes, Rahoo asked when had the premier's 'notice' gotten people relief in the past two years. The Pakistan Peoples Party leader held the premier and the PTI government's 'incompetence' responsible for increasing inflation in the country. "The people are miserable and Pakistan is lagging behind," he remarked, lashing out at the PTI-led central government.
