According to sources, only 80 mmcfd gas will be available to power plants across the country from next month (April), due to which there is a fear that power generation will be affected. Sources further said that the supply of 150 mmcfd gas and LNG that was available in March will be stopped. 25 to 30 mmcfd gas will be transferred to the power sector and gas from the fertilizer sector can also be allocated for power generation. According to the spokesperson, gas supply has decreased due to technical reasons in 2 gas fields.
