‘Opposition parties to demand early elections’


Mahmoo­d-ur-Rashee­d says early polls are the only soluti­on to the curren­t politi­cal crisis­LAHORE: Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to increase pressure on the government for early general elections in the country. PTI-backed provincial assembly opposition leader Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed disclosed that his party has decided to bring all opposition parties on board in favour of early polls for which the party has already started to contact different political parties. ‘PTI not to accept delay in general elections’Rasheed said that the opposition parties will formulate a joint strategy to press the government for early polls in the provincial assembly as there was no government in the country. PTI, PPP refuse to pass crucial billEarlier, speaking to media, opposition leader said that early general elections were the only solution of the current political crisis as people of Pakistan want to get rid of present rulers. The party has not yet partnered with any other political party for upcoming election; however, PTI senior leadership will make any such decision after consultation.
