Trinamool secretary-general Partha Chatterjee alleged that by calling the Governor, Mr. Modi has “acted as the leader of BJP, not as a Prime Minister.” The Trinamool leadership also pointed out that the Prime Minister spoke to Odisha Chief Minister but not to Ms. Banerjee. “Two attempts were made on Saturday morning by the Prime Minister’s staff to connect the Prime Minister to the CM on phone. The Prime Minister tweeted earlier reiterating the Centre’s readiness to provide all help to cope with the cyclone.
