KIDAPAWAN CITY — Police thanked “Lady Luck” when a hand grenade lobbed by an unidentified man inside a militia detachment did not explode Friday night, police said. “They were lucky the grenade failed to go off, maybe they have lady luck,” said Senior Inspector Mautin Pangandigan, Pikit town police chief. The man tossed something hard inside the detachment manned by Cafgus. “They thought they were stoned but upon verification, the Cafgus found a fragmentation grenade inside the detachment,” Pangandigan said.
