Karan Johar’s period drama Kalank has not managed to build on its impressive opening day numbers despite the festive weekend. 44.645 crore at the Indian box office at last count, of which Rs. “Kalank sees minimal growth on day three (Good Friday holiday). The big jump is clearly missing, multiplexes are better but mass circuits range from ordinary to weak," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. 150 crore, Kalank has been directed by Abhishek Varman of 2 States fame and stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
