'Joker' Warner Bros.Warner Bros.’ Joker earned another $2.75 million (-67% from last Monday) to cross the $250 million mark in unadjusted domestic grosses. Presuming it has retained the 33.5/66.5 domestic/overseas split, it should be over $755 million worldwide sometime today. Despite, or because of, it being a grimdark, R-rated, action-lite character drama with distinctly American pop culture references and politics, the film will pass $500 million overseas sometime today. At a glance, it’s certainly going to pass Fox’s Deadpool 2 ($785 million) to become the biggest R-rated movie ever, sans inflation. If Joker takes a hit, well, it might have to settle for an $850 million finish.
