( Kashmala Fida/StarMetro ) After finding racist Indigenous costumes at a store in Edmonton, Grade 12 student Giorgianna Leddy is working towards raising awareness about the continued presence of these costumes in halloween stores. Percy Page High School, has made it her mission to raise awareness about the offensive costumes that are sold in halloween stores in Edmonton. “When people pick up an Indigenous costume or a costume of an Indigenous woman, what is the overall goal?” O’Dell asked.
