There was a time when a Canadian woman throwing over 19 metres was news. “She’s continually doing that (now), having a big throw in the first round.”There was only one round at the Canadian championships, and really no doubt about the outcome. The only thrower who came within four metres of Mitton was Crew, who is struggling to return to form after a series of injuries. But it’s hard to stay grounded while leaping from success to success, the way Mitton has been doing this season.
