HALIFAX—Fammy Uwantege wasn’t born during the Rwandan genocide that began 25 years ago, but it has shaped her life and fuelled her passion for promoting peace. She is one of the organizers of a commemorative event marking 25 years since the start of the Rwandan genocide in April 1994.
