Liberal Leader Dwight Ball didn't take his campaign outside the St. John's area until earlier this week. Still, we've heard no end of voices about how the Liberals caught the other parties off guard with a spring election. In mid-January, I wrote a column about how the political rumour mill was ramping up about a spring election. Liberal Leader Dwight Ball campaigned in Labrador this week with Lake Melville incumbent Perry Trimper. Colour me not at all surprised that we've found ourselves in a spring election campaign.
