The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Borno State, Alhaji Mohammed Imam, has said that the renewed Boko Haram attacks may be politically motivated. He said there was an urgent need to set up an inquiry into the attacks to identify those sponsoring the terrorists and punish them. Speaking to journalists at the inauguration of the Borno PDP Campaign Council in Maiduguri on Friday, Imam said, “Why the increase in Boko Haram attacks when the elections are just around the corner? “We are appealing to the security agencies and our people to be more vigilant and arrest those behind this problem.”Copyright PUNCH.
