The announcement of various committees of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), particularly the collation centre to be chaired by Mrs Amina Zakari has been generating some furore. The national chairman was reportedly furious over the alleged uncomplimentary role played by some of the officials which brought the INEC to ridicule. Fayose alleged that Zakari was an in-law to President Buhari and as such should not have been appointed in the first place. “As of today, there are four National Electoral Commissioners in INEC instead of 12. If anyone should act as INEC chairman, it should be any of the remaining four National Electoral Commissioners, not someone whose tenure has expired.
