Vice president M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday took his first vaccine shot against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as India began Phase 2 of its immunisation drive. According to a tweet by the vice president’s secretariat, Naidu was vaccinated at the Government Medical College in Chennai. “I took my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Government Medical College, Chennai today. I appeal to all the eligible people to get themselves vaccinated proactively and join in the fight against novel coronavirus.
