Speaking on Fox News, Mr Harris was asked to clarify what the decision actually means for Surry County. The Surry County Board of Commissioners passed the bill banning Coca-Cola machines from all government facilities with a 3-2 vote on May 17. The vote is now being enforced with Mr Harris sending a letter to Coca-Cola branding them a "bigoted leftist mob". Mr Harris replied: "Well, Pepsi and Coke were out in front on this and being a county commissioner is a local position, it's grassroots politics. The Georgia voting bill was passed in response to allegations of voter fraud following Donald Trump's election loss.
