Source: UGCAccording to reports by Nation, the killers who had been tasked with eliminating Mwangi had been promised some good KSh 160,000, which would be handed once the job is executed. On top of the cash, the killers were also promised a share of the late Wang'ondu's vast wealth. Mwangi was killed in January by three hitmen who were later found to have been instructed by the now late Wang'ondu. The late Wang'ondu had housed Mwangi's wife, his daughter-in-law after the latter fell out with her husband (Mwangi).
