The European Championship was always a great time for Todor Kajcevski to get together with friends and family and celebrate his love of soccer. At Euro 2020, North Macedonia made its tournament debut, one of two new faces alongside Finland. To be able to cheer on his own country, the place where his parents were born, is a great honour for Kajcevski. North Macedonia lost the match 3-1, giving up two goals in the last dozen minutes for a scoreline that flattered the Austrians. But the community of Macedonia fans is a united one, with soccer among the country’s most popular sports, and Kajcevski said it can play a “great support role” during Euro 2020.
