MALACCA: Videos of a caretaker abusing residents of an old folks' home in Klebang Besar here have gone viral on social media. Another video, also 11 seconds-long, depicted the same man sitting on a bed while scolding at an elderly man while smacking him. A report was lodged by a former employee of the old folks' home at the Batang Tiga police station at 12.45pm yesterday. The staff claimed that she stopped working at the old folks' home after being unable to stomach the caretaker's abusive behaviour. The case has caught the attention of Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron, who called on relevant authorities to enforce strict regulations related to the care of the elderly at the old folks' home.
