At least 14 Mombasa residents have died of electrocution since 2016, Haki Africa has said, and blamed Kenya Power. Programmes coordinator Francis Auma said Changamwe recorded the most deaths - five - in three years while Nyali constituency had four cases. "Haki Africa is calling on the Kenya Power managing director to 'come out clean' on the deaths. Adding they lost goods worth Sh500,000, he said: "Kenya Power can compensate us but cannot bring back the dead." Kenya Power must lead a campaign to enlighten them."
