Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga on Wednesday led residents in lighting candles to commemorate those who lost their lives during anti-government protests. This is after a call from Azimio to hold a vigil for those who were killed during the past protests. Wanga said that Kenyans should not lose their lives because of exercising their rights. "No Kenyan should ever lose their life for exercising their constitutional right to protest, peaceably and unarmed. We joined the rest of Kenyans in a vigil to commemorate these lives and condolence with families across the nation mourning loved ones," she said.
