Some Kisumu leaders have joined families who lost loved ones and those whose relatives were injured during protests. In what was described as an Azimio vigil, the leaders assembled at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) where they lit candles in solidarity with the bereaved families. All the bills both for the morgue and treatment were waived. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Azimio had asked those who will take part in the memorial exercise to light candles, lay flowers, sing the National Anthem and pray. This is to be done in order to remember those who died during the anti-government demonstrations.
