Law Society of Kenya elections at the Supreme Court, February 19, 2025/EZEKIEL AMING'AAdvocates across Kenya are heading to polling stations today to elect the next President, Vice-President, and Council members of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the country's premier bar association representing more than 20,000 practising lawyers. The biennial elections, supervised by the LSK Elections Board and conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) at High Court stations nationwide, mark the end of President Faith Odhiambo's two-year term. Odhiambo, who became the second woman to lead the LSK in 2024, has been praised for elevating the Society's advocacy on the rule of law, constitutional matters, and members' welfare amid a challenging period for the profession and the country.
