Speaking at Starehe SDA church, Kidero accused the officers of demanding bribes before offering services to the residents in Nairobi. Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has fired seven senior officers in the inspectorate department over extortion claims. Kidero said the officers whom he fired on Friday were leading a team of other staffs to sabotage his administration. Kidero said of late most of the officers were extorting money from business men and women within the CBD. Kidero said the officers were receiving money so as to allow some traders to dump garbage in some areas within the CBD.
