In addition to granting non-locals a vote, the Indian state is issuing property rights and domiciles that are rapidly changing the demographic landscape of the region. This is clearly a reflection of India’s blatant disregard of the UNSC resolutions, the sanctity of the region and humanity as a whole. Such attempts are further supported by permitting non-temporary residents and non-locals to vote in the upcoming poll in November. 2.5 million is a significant addition to the voter base and constitutes as much as a third of it. We cannot let their efforts die in vain and upholding accountability is something that the international community owes to the suffering people of Kashmir.

Gill subjected to ‘sexual abuse’, claims Imran
However, roughly 10 days after his arrest, the PTI chairman and the party leadership adopted an offensive mode with all guns blazing and decided to take to the streets. “All the pictures & videos show clearly [Shahbaz] Gill was tortured both mentally & physically incl[uding] sexual abuse - most too gruesome to relate. He was humiliated to break him down,” Imran tweeted while sharing a video of Gill wherein he could be seen pleading for an oxygen mask. He said that Imran went to meet Gill at PIMS hospital to assure him that the entire party stood by him. Awan said that he could not tell what crime was committed against Gill, adding that Gill was tortured in such a way that “neither it can be told nor shown”.

PM announces Rs25,000 for each flood-hit family across country
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched Rs37.2 billion Flood Relief Cash Programme to provide Rs25,000 cash assistance each among 1.5 million families across the flood-hit areas of the country. He also paid tribute to the six martyred army officers including Quetta Corps Commander Lt General Sarfaraz who sacrificed their lives in a chopper crash during the flood relief operation. PM Shehbaz told the gathering that the cash assistance programme, launched in Jhal Magsi area of Balochistan, would support over 9 million people across the country. Through a video link, the beneficiaries in Jhal Magsi area were also shown receiving cash assistance. He said the cash assistance would be disbursed across 724 union councils of four provinces which would follow the compensation for the flood-caused losses.

My name is Earl Schwartz, I’m 23 years old, and I’ve just been hired by the Carolina Hurricanes as a “Compliance Assistant”. Thanks to my teammates and coaches who helped me grow as a player and person for something like 14 seasons there. This isn’t an endorsement of fighting, but I wasn’t sorry that it got me to a playoff team, the Norwich Merchants. Around the 2022 trade deadline it became apparent that being hired by an NHL team was a possibility, and I began making plans to attend the draft in Montreal. Fast forward a few weeks, and here I am saying goodbye.

patna: Political strategist turned activist Prashant Kishor on Friday sought a feedback from Twitterati on the latest term in office of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with whom he has had a long collaboration. Kishor launched an online poll on his official Twitter handle, asking users to vote yes or no, to his query, in Hindi. "This is the sixth experiment (prayog) by Nitish Kumar in the last 10 years towards government formation. Do you think, this time, the people of Bihar stand to benefit?" While refraining from BJP's return of jungle raj chorus, Kishor has nonetheless advised caution in assessing the new coalition's impact on national politics.

Twente only got 5 shots away and the only one on target was the goal, on which he didn’t have any chance. His pinpoint pass to Biraghi from a goal kick set up the second goal and he was completely unremarkable otherwise, given that he had nothing to do. Don’t sleep on his role in the second goal, either; to control that pass, turn, and ping a perfect ball over the top isn’t easy. Didn’t do much in possession and showed little guile on the ball, though, and seemed to contribute to the frantic nature of the second half. The second half is a problem for this team.

It is interesting to note that while scoring was up across the NHL last season, neither McDavid or Draisaitl had a career-best in points-per-game. Edmonton’s overall offence has improved in each of the past four seasons, and last season McDavid and Draisaitl were in on 43.1% and 38.6% of the Oilers’ goals.

PM gives nod to abolish CPEC Authority
The minister further said the CPEC Authority Act would be repealed once the Chinese authorities give their consent. The decision to wind up the CPEC Authority is in line with the PML-N’s old policy that was never in favour of establishing a parallel set-up. The execution of the CPEC projects would be in the hands of the line ministries, he added. The previous PTI government had reluctantly enacted the CPEC Authority but it never filled the chairman’s post after Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa’s resignation. Because of a delay in making the final decision to dissolve the authority, people had started lobbying for the vacant post of the CPEC Authority chairman.

Well, power politics is what makes Indian democracy so crowded and noisy, but people are used to it. The word revolving door for Bihar politics was recently used by NDTV’s famous presenter Mr Ravish Kumar, and we are using it as an apt metaphor to describe Indian politics.
