SC issues cease, desist order to 7 unlicensed operators
KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission (SC) has issued cease and desist order to seven unlicensed operators, comprising entities and related individuals, offering investment advice. In a statement issued on Monday, it said the seven unlicensed operators and advisers include Don Trader/ DT Academy Sdn Bhd; Engineer Saham/ Ergonamos Marketing (Mohd Faizal Raihan); Felix Consulting; Lifestyle Trading Masterclass/ LTM Tech (Jeremy Looi Chee Keong). The orders followed the issuance of the “Guidance Note on Provision of Investment Advice” on Dec 30,2020. The SC placed all of the seven operators with their relevant details in the SC’s Investor Alert List http://www.sc.com.my/investor-alertThe SC also warned the operators of other online webinars, seminars, social media, and messaging applications chat rooms to cease carrying out unlicensed investment advice activities. A heartfelt thank you from a quarantined expatriate
AS an expat in Malaysia, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to the government, especially the Health Ministry, for making my seven-day quarantine experience the smoothest one could hope for. I immediately started worrying when I found out that to enter Malaysia, I would have to be quarantined for at least seven days. However, I was surprised at how the quarantine period actually made me feel the polar opposite: calm, collected and at peace. We were then asked to join a WhatsApp group comprising all of us who were being quarantined there so we would get the latest updates. However, we were allowed to order food from outside, either through delivery services or from the hotel’s room service menu.

Technical Inadvisory: Rice design
I’m also going to talk about user interfaces and user experience design eventually, but mostly, I’m all about the rice today. Sakuna’s approach to explaining – or rather, not explaining – fascinates me greatly because it cleverly defies everything I’ve learned about good software and UI/UX design. Sakuna’s obtuse rice farming gameplay breaks all three obvious rules, but I still love the game and its design. I’m as surprised as anyone that a game about growing rice can tell me so much about forgiving system design, but here we are. It’s a great game with a lovely story that can teach you quite a bit about good software design, and a heck of a lot more about actually growing rice.

(Reuters) - Serena Williams will not compete at this week's Miami Open as the 23-times Grand Slam singles champion recovers from oral surgery, the Associated Press reported on Sunday. The 39-year-old Florida resident has won the Miami Open a record eight times and joins big names including Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer in missing the event. "Miami is a special tournament for me because it's my home," she said in a statement, cited by the Associated Press. "I am sad I won't be able to see the incredible fans this year, but I look forward to coming back soon."
