Akufo-Addo sacks Ejura MCE
According to the report, inside sources have confirmed that Salisu Bamba has been asked to immediately leave his office and hand over to the Ashanti Regional Minister, pending the appointment of a new MCE. The report further notes that his sacking is part of attempted measures to de-escalate tensions following the killing of protestors by security forces on Tuesday, June 29. Following the protest and killing of some youth at Ejura Sekyeredumase in the Ashanti Region, MCE Bamba has reportedly fled the town with his whereabouts still unknown. His death sparked anger among the youth who accused the MCE of having a hand in his demise. Although the MCE has since denied any involvement, the youth noted that Kaaka's activism on social media was exposing the inadequacies of Salisu Bamba.

Ghana is in a state of lawlessness – Minority Leader
According to him, these acts of lawlessness are orchestrated by men and women in the military who are entrusted to protect the citizen. Speaking on the floor of parliament on July 2, 2021, the minority leader said the killing in Ejura is not yet over and this shows that the military-civil relations are at their lowest end. According to one eyewitness, one of the soldiers is believed to have boarded what is referred to as “Yellow Yellow” or “Mahama Cambo” and lost his phone. The incident is said to have started at 1:00 pm and lasted for close to an hour at the Wa main traffic. A 29-year-old vulcanizer, who was a victim, is suspected to have developed a fracture in his right thigh during the assault.

He remains seized with developments on the subject - from the military command’s meeting with the overlord of the area and demands being made subsequently. The Ghana Armed Forces, GAF, has in a statement stressed that it will swiftly deal with all soldiers who took part in the assault.

Ghana’s first Customer Satisfaction Index Report to be outdoored soon – CIMG

The minister added that the new detergents manufacturing plant will provide an estimated 220 direct employment as well as boost government’s efforts at import substitution, especially in sectors with local capacity for value addition. “Government recognises the relevance of attracting private sector operators to invest in the productive sectors of the economy by taking advantage of available local resource endowments," he concluded.

Adib Saani however believes the independent body which would be instituted must be made up of experts from different backgrounds who will work independent of the security services and devoid of politics. His comments come after some military personnel were caught on camera meting out physical abuse on some residents in Wa over an alleged missing phone. In a statement sighted by GhanaWeb, Adib Saani condemned the act by the military men and described it as a smear on the country's democratic achievements. “The tendency by the military and other security services to always cover up crimes perpetrated by their own, in a quest to preserve morale or to protect reputation is what is motivating these officers into thinking the uniforms they wear grants them invincibility. “The Wa incident is a smear on our democratic achievements and should be condemned by all and this should not be business as usual. ‘Dead man’s tale’: Hammer evokes intense sadness with release of Agyekum’s video with Sarkodie
Agyekum’s song with Sarkodie titled, ‘Ohohuo Asem’ - to wit, the plight of a stranger – became a monster hit in 2011. Eight years after the song leaked in the public domain, Agyekum pleaded with Hammer to bless him with a music video. Agyekum, however, did not live to see the final cut as he died two months after the video was shot. I spoke to him, and after two days, his brother called me and said Agyekum had passed away,” Hammer sadly recounted.
