Construction of infrastructure to facelift Biriwa-VTRI near completion
The Construction of the projects, a collaborative venture between the Government of Ghana and PlanetOne from Dubai, is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Education Africa Ventures and SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Company Limited are the Contractors for the overall upgrading and modernization of the vocational education system in Ghana. This came to light when the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education visited to inspect the progress of work at the Institute. They were accompanied by officials from the Ministry, and the Acting Director-General of Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah. The facilities, which were at various stages of completion would increase student enrolment at BVTRI from 1,454 to more than 3,000.

We’ve learnt our lesson, 2024 elections would be different – Mahama

Asamoah Gyan sets sights on Black Stars return

According to highlights of the report available to GhanaWeb, prices of the nearby cocoa futures contract averaged US$2,195 per tonne. For Europe, 7,960 tonnes of cocoa beans were exchanged on the market against the July 2021 contract, down from the 9,280 tonnes tendered against July 2020. UTAG Strike: Don't use state institutions to threaten the poor - Gyampo to gov't

He said on NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' that the government's move to use state institutions to force them into the classrooms will not work if negotiations are not made to address their plight. “Don’t use state institutions to threaten the poor, it won’t work,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye. Prof Gyampo was addressing a contempt case brought against the leadership of UTAG by the National Labour Commission (NLC) to a Labour Court. While the NLC says that UTAG cannot remain on strike while negotiating with the government, UTAG insists that there is currently no active negotiation between them.

EC’s directive to NDC to send electoral reform proposals to IPAC very absurd – Mahama
“IPAC is an advisory committee to the EC and IPAC is housed by the EC and it’s the EC that calls IPAC meetings. The NDC flagbearer went on to state that the directive of the EC is an indication that the commission is being unreceptive to the party. For him, the right decision is for the EC to “call an IPAC meeting and table it. You can’t say take your letter to IPAC.”The country's election system has been proposed for reforms by the opposition NDC. Top among the proposals offered by the party is that the EC Chairperson must be appointed with parliament's prior consent.

Teenager who pulled machete on teacher jailed 3 years
