In short:The "good neighbor" plan aimed to cut ozone pollution affecting downwind states is under threat, with a decision expected by June. The plan's suspension could delay pollution control efforts, affecting states reliant on upwind pollution reduction. Why this matters:The potential blocking of the EPA's air pollution plan brings to light the struggle and intricate balance between federal authority and state responsibilities in managing air quality. It really has been a case of home is where the heart is for Norwich City over the last few months. Norwich City columnist Ed Seaman wants to see the Canaries’ form away from home improve. No signs of any doubt, just a belief (both on the pitch and in the stands) that we would come away with three points. But if it’s been plain sailing at Carrow Road, the picture isn’t quite the same on the road. As we move towards the business end of the season, two wins from those games feels like a bare minimum.

PEOPLE are suffering and dying in Gaza while UK politics descends into “complete chaos”, Christian Aid warned MPs after a Commons debate on calls for a Israel-Hamas ceasefire took an unexpected turn on Wednesday. SNP and Conservative MPs walked out of the Chamber on Wednesday, however, after the Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, broke with convention to allow a vote on a Labour motion calling for “an immediate humanitarian ceasefire”. This amendment to the original SNP’s “immediate ceasefire” motion was passed with shouts of “aye” — without a formal vote — after the Government refused to take part, in protest. In November, only 56 Labour MPs had backed the SNP’s calls. Ultimately, the suffering won’t end until we have an immediate and permanent ceasefire.”The outcome of the Labour vote, however, was welcomed by CAFOD.

The House of Commons descended into chaos as the Government and SNP condemned Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle for his handling of the Gaza ceasefire debate. SNP MPs and some Conservatives walked out of the chamber in an apparent protest at the state of affairs as the debate reached its conclusion. Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt claimed Sir Lindsay had “hijacked” the debate and “undermined the confidence” of the House in its longstanding rules by selecting Labour’s bid to amend the SNP motion calling for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza and Israel. It had been expected that Sir Lindsay would select just the Government’s amendment seeking an “immediate humanitarian pause” to the Israel-Hamas conflict, which could pave the way for a more permanent stop in fighting. Conservative MP William Wragg, who called for Sir Lindsay to resign, later tried to make the House of Commons sit in private.

Hoban recently published a five-part series at Forbes.com in which he takes a deep dive on some of the most controversial issues in the hemp industry today. “Is CBD legal under the Controlled Substances Act?”He was only vaguely familiar with CBD at the time, and so he didn’t know the answer. The legal opinion he wrote based on his analysis was widely shared and ultimately was a contributing factor to the meteoric rise of CBD. Hoban refers to the derivatives, or IHDs, as “red state weed” because “much of this hemp derivative activity has become popular in so-called red states,” Hoban writes, where as Democratic-majority blue states are more likely to have avenues for legal marijuana through medical dispensaries or recreational shops. Red state weed has created headaches for lawmakers who are trying to figure out the best way to deal these substances.
