Roads Policing Unit officers managed to catch up to a rider going along the motorway in Wiltshire at 143mph on Thursday morning. They seized the bike, reported the driver, and shared the incident on social media at around 1.10am on May 9. A Wiltshire Specialist Operations spokesperson said: “RPU with this bike rider stretching their legs to a ridiculous 143mph sprint on the M4 tonight. “Bike seized, driver reported.”Speeding is one of the five most common causes of fatal crashes on the roads, along with careless driving, not wearing a seatbelt, using a handheld mobile phone, and drink or drug driving. By age 13, this was true for 50 per cent of boys and 57 per cent of girls. In contrast, the global average was just 15 per cent for 11-year-olds and 33 per cent for 13-year-olds.
