LAHORE – Two alleged terrorists belonging to a banned organisation, arrested in connection with the Anarkali blast, were killed in a terrorist attack in Badami Bagh area, here on Saturday. According to a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) spokesperson, the arrested terrorists told the police during interrogation that they hired a house in Khokhar Pind, Badami Bagh area, and hid the remaining explosive material there after using it in the Anarkali blast. However, they were attacked by four accomplices of the terrorists on the way. In crossfire, both alleged terrorists were killed and the attackers fled the scene. A case has been registered at the CTD Lahore police station.

President Dr. Arif Alvi Saturday strongly condemned the killing of ten Kashmiri youth in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The president said that the Indian occupation forces had been targeting the innocent Kashmiri youth on the pretext of carrying out so-called search operations. He called upon the international community to take notice of the gross human rights violations in the IIOJK and demanded of the Indian government immediately stop its grave human rights violations of extra-judicial killing of the Kashmiri youth, a press release said. REUTERSThe Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised gas prices up to 45 percent in order to meet the revenue shortfall of gas utilities. The oil and gas regulator has allowed Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) to increase prices by up to 45 percent. The gas utility had demanded a 198 percent increase in gas prices. It also allowed Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to increase gas prices by 44 percent in order to meet revenue shortfall for the year 2022-23. SSGC will recover also Rs285 billion from gas consumers through revised gas prices.
