Netflix’s Account Sharing Crackdown, ExplainedNetflix’s plan to crackdown on account sharing is heading to New Zealand, but how does the policy work? Netflix’s new account sharing rulesHere’s how it works: users will need to set a primary location for the account. If you’re sharing your account with people outside of your household, you can ‘buy’ extra members that don’t live at the primary location. Account users can transfer their profiles to other accounts if migrating to another household, saving your list, history and recommendations. Kiwifruit marketer Zespri has successfully applied to the High Court to liquidate the company of a kiwifruit grower who illegally exported its gold kiwifruit cuttings to China. The company, Smiling Face, and its owner, Haoyu Gao, have been in and out of the courts with Zespri since 2018. According to a Zespri spokesperson in 2020, the High Court found Gao had fraudulently offered to sell Zespri’s kiwifruit varieties and the right to licence them to parties in China. This decision was upheld by the New Zealand Court of Appeal, and leave to appeal to the Supreme Court was declined. Zespri lawyer Katherine Evans said Zespri had taken enforcement action against Smiling Face and Gao’s assets in New Zealand and continued to work with the court-appointed liquidators throughout the process.

Wellington: More than 3 tonnes of cocaine worth an estimated $NZ500 million ($453 million) have been seized in the Pacific Ocean as part of a New Zealand Police, Customs and Defence Force operation. NZ Police Commissioner Andrew Coster said the seizure was one of the biggest hauls of illegal drugs by authorities in New Zealand history. NZ Customs say the cocaine seized as part of Operation Hydros has a street value of more than half a billion dollars. Coster said the size of the shipment, found afloat, suggested it was likely destined for Australia. The amount would supply New Zealand for 30 years and Australia for one year, he said without elaborating.

And yet, I’m not even sure I could recommend One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest anymore. Cuckoo’s Nest stars Jack Nicholson as a prisoner who has wangled his way into a psychiatric hospital, believing it will be an easier life than prison. Along with Five Easy Pieces, The Last Detail and Chinatown, Nicholson’s Academy Award-winning work in Cuckoo’s Nest is legendary. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a startlingly well-made and well-written film. One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest is still a “great” film.

“I said the Government is doing too much too fast, and that we need to focus on the cost of living. The events in Auckland have once again demonstrated the limits of our existing infrastructure and the need for change. "It will help to provide greater bandwidth and resource for where focus is needed most – the cost of living. When I became leader I promised that the Government would do more to help families with the cost of living," he said. Hipkins said the 7% increase in the minimum wage would only increase the wages portion of GDP by 0.1%, according to MBIE analysis.
