Former Nairobi Mayor Joe Aketch is among politicians who on Wednesday unveiled a lobby group that will traverse the country to market President William Ruto’s agenda. Dubbed 'Ruto Reloaded Movement', the team said it will lead a national campaign to sensitise Kenyans about the Kenya Kwanza achievements over the last two years. Aketch who is the patron of the RRM group said the motivation behind the formation of the group is lack of information on the government’s progress among Kenyans. Aketch noted that the RRM group is in support of the positive achievements witnessed across the country since President Ruto was elected. “We are a national movement with representation across the country,’’ said RRM chairperson Jacob Karanja.

Africa will have four teams at the Club World Cup and many of those players are likely to be picked for the Cup of Nations. Caf was repeatedly asked about the obvious clash but failed to offer a solution until general secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba told the BBC the Nations Cup finals would be held in early 2026. Caf has also been under fire for its inability to fix dates for this year’s women’s Africa Cup of Nations finals, also in Morocco.
