Dr Agyepong also noted that work on the Kumasi Liquid waste treatment plant is almost complete, and it will soon start serving the needs of the people of the Ashanti region in liquid waste management. However, similar works in the Western Region, Tema and Tamale have begun, and the capacities to be built will help receive all manner of liquid waste and prevent indiscriminate dumping of wastewater in the country. Additional technology will be added to help sieve out solid waste that is normally found in the liquid waste brought to the facility.

According to Chief Executive of the Chamber, Elikplim Apetorgbor said a schedule is required to enable businesses and the consuming public to plan ahead of the imminent power outages. “The reliability of electricity supply to consumers requires improved access to information by notifying consumers in advance. Meanwhile, a cross section of Ghanaians are expected to experience intermittent power outages until September this year, according to the Ghana Grid Company Limited. This is because the power transmission company will complete its ongoing expansion works and system upgrade by the time. The Minister who sighted the facility during a tour of the city with officials of NADMO directed them to quickly demolish the building. He tasked NADMO to work with National Security to ensure that the facility is brought down. The Tema Director of NADMO also made appeals for the demolition of unauthorized structures around at Tema Community Seven Post Office. Mrs. Annan said there was the need to resolve conflict amicably hence the ADR mechanism to deal with societal issues for peaceful co-existence. She said the NCCE adopted the ADR approach to enable parties to reach a mutual agreement, which could not have been reached through an adjudicative process. The latest suit is by Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea, who according to court documents is being a minor, is suing through his next friend, Marvin Palmer.
