They embarked on this to raise awareness and draw the attention of the leadership to their request. “We held a press conference two weeks ago to drive home our quest for the party to produce to us the rank and file the collated pink sheets or collated results from the 2020 elections, we wrote officially to the party to provide us with those items so that we can all do analysis and better prepare for 2024 elections. The group is demanding all the collated figures and pink sheets of the just-ended elections.

President Akufo-Addo issued the order when he announced his acceptance of a report by a committee of experts on Ghana's preparedness for earthquakes. Speaking at the forum to discuss the content of the report of the committee, President Akufo-Addo charged the engineers to perform the audit and advise government on steps to be taken. “Constructing well-engineered structure including dams and roads and retrofitting important public lifeline buildings such as hospitals and schools cannot be compromised. That is why I asked the Engineering Council of the Ministry of Works and Housing to ensure that comprehensive integrity audit of all public buildings and structures is conducted and government appropriately advised,” he said. President Akufo-Addo also disclosed he has instructed the Ghana Geological Survey Authority to furnish the government with information on equipment needed to monitor earthquake-related activities in the country.

A Berekum Circuit Court presided by Judge Osei Kofi Amoako made the decision after the prosecutor Emmanuel Sampson failed to show up in court. The Prosecutor also failed to inform the court of his reasons for being absent in court. Farouk Adams, it will be recalled on March 1, 2021 accidentally killed Constable Amos Niganoka Mantey in what is known in the local parlance as ‘hit and run’. Farouk Adams was initially remanded in police custody but was granted bail on his second appearance in court with a condition of ₵60,000 with four sureties. 43-year-old Dennis Mensah, popularly known as Cantona, unemployed was found dead in the room, presumed to have been dead since Saturday, April 03, 2021. “I received a call from the Assemblyman for this area who said he had information that there was a bad odour emanating from Dennis’ room. I spoke to the neighbours who had this information and thereafter accompanied his mother to the Akwatia police station and informed the police,” Christian Baisie disclosed. He said the police subsequently broke down the door and found the deceased lying dead in the room. Asked if neighbours had any suspicions as to how the deceased who stayed alone might have died, Christian Baisie answered in the negative.
