Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Sunday met with Ali Al-Moselhi, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, to discuss the progress of developing consumer complexes through a partnership programme with the private sector. Sameh Al-Kheshen, the official Cabinet spokesperson, said that the meeting covered the status of goods in consumer complexes across the country, the efforts to provide strategic stocks of basic goods and the procedures for developing consumer complexes. Al-Moselhi said that several consumer complexes have been offered for partnership with the private sector, as part of the strategy to operate and develop the assets of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade according to certain specifications and controls. Al-Moselhi said that a partnership has already been established with the private sector in six consumer complexes in various governorates in the first stage and that the results are good so far. On another note, Al-Moselhi said that they are working on improving the system of distributing supply goods to provide support to those who deserve it.

CAIRO - 23 October 2023: North Sinai Governorate announced in a press release the details of the humanitarian aid arrived at Arish Airport for the people of the Gaza Strip. Major General Dr. Muhammad Abdel Fadil Shusha, the Governor of North Sinai, confirmed that the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai is receiving the aid, transporting it and storing it in warehouses in the city of Arish, North Sinai, in preparation to enter into Gaza Strip. Muhammad Salim Salam, the official spokesman for the North Sinai Governorate, added that 27 planes from Arab and foreign countries, and international organizations have arrived at Al-Arish International Airport since last October 12, carrying hundreds of tons of humanitarian and food aid, medicines and medical supplies to Gaza Strip.

CAIRO – 23 October 2023: Medical sources told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that 400, mostly women and children, were killed in 24 hours, as Israel committed 25 massacres by shelling houses without a prior notice. The sources elaborated that both warplanes and missiles struck areas located eastern Gaza. The areas hit by strikes in Sunday Gabalya, Lahya, Al Wosta, Al Remal, Mokhayam Al Shatea, Khan Younis, and Palestinian Rafah. Yet, airstrikes targeted the surroundings of Al Shefaa Medical Center in central Gaza, and of Al Quds Hospital western Gaza. The death toll among Palestinians as a consequence of the Israeli bombing of Gaza rose to 5,087, while injuries amount to over 14,245.

He also said that Bulgarian products could use the Egyptian market as a hub to enter African markets.

CAIRO – 22 October 2023: The United States will continue to work with Egypt and Israel around the clock in order to facilitate the exit of US citizens and their immediate family members to exit Gaza safely, President Joe Biden said on Saturday. The aid is delivered through the Rafah border crossing, which serves as the primary entry and exit point for the Gaza Strip, to alleviate the suffering of 2.3 million residents in Gaza. Also, Biden said earlier in a press conference the US will provide aid worth $100 million for Gaza and West Bank. The aid delivery to Gaza can mean the start of evacuation of third-country nationals from the strip. Informed sources affirmed earlier this month that Egyptian authorities have refused the evacuation of foreign residents from Gaza except as part of an aid delivery agreement.

CAIRO - 22 October 2023: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) recently made new statements regarding the deteriorating situation in Gaza Strip, saying that "there is currently no safe place in the strip." In statements to Al-Arabiya News Channel, UNRWA explained that its centers host more than half a million displaced people in Gaza Strip. As the Israeli bombardement continues on different locations in the strip, UNRWA said that they "send the Israeli side the coordinates of our sites 'twice a day' to avoid bombing them." The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the number of killed citizens in Gaza Strip reached 4,651 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression.

The Israeli Military Chief of Staff, Herzl Halevi, told IDF commanders Saturday that the military will initiate an operation to “destroy” Hamas. The delivery of aid to Gaza through Egypt began on Saturday with 20 lorries, although 150 lorries were waiting to enter. Describing the crisis in the enclave housing 2.3 million residents, the UN official said, "it's a lot of people and they are in serious trouble. As you know the health system is on its knees. People are talking about only drinking dirty water."
