(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt)Daily News Egypt's science editor Mohammed El-Said has been awarded the 1st runner-up prize in the Nile Media Awards (print media category) for his article on renewable energy as a solution for the Nile Basin conflict. The Nile Media Award, organised by the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI), is a competition for journalists based in the NBI Member States. It aims to encourage increased, factual, and balanced reporting on Nile cooperation and Nile Basin issues. The article highlighted how renewable energy could benefit all parties involved and reduce the dependence on hydropower. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Geography and he is also a PhD candidate in Human Geography at Cairo University.
